Hi im Derrick the founder of FuneralPay. Over the past few years, I’ve been on a journey—one that began in the quiet rooms of funeral homes and has taken me deep into the heart of technology—to modernise how we care for people at the end of life.

Having worked as a funeral director and as the founder of thinkwillow.com, I’ve spoken with hundreds of families navigating loss.

I’ve also led technology teams in Europe’s largest companies. These two worlds rarely meet—but I believe they must.

Because while death is timeless, the way we support people is changing. Families want choice, transparency, and compassion—and they want it online.

Independent funeral directors need to meet the expectations of a new generation of funeral organisers.

So I decided to build the tools we need.
